This section is a sample of my teaching and training sessions. On the links below, you will find an Instructional Design for Working Effectively In A Team, which was part of a project for one of our classes at Colorado State University and it became a training opportunity for my current company, CSCI Consulting. The second example is a professional development session that I designed for our teachers at Berlitz.
In both projects, you will be able to see how several Adult Education theories have been put into practice. For example, on the "Working Effectively In A Team" project, I used the Instructional Project Development and Management Model by Gentry (Gustafson & Branch, 2005, 69-72). On the second project, you will see a slideshow of material used on a Professional Development Session about Customer Service. This session was meant to utilize previous knowledge and experiences from the employees being trained to help them understand and modify certain behavior while working with customers. This use of previous knowledge and experience in combination with internal motivations and knowing why this session was important to learn about are part of Knowles theory in "'the art and science of helping adults to learn'" (Merriam, Caffarella & Baumgartner, 2007, 84).
